Nearly six years after its cancellation, cult hit sitcom Arrested Development is returning for more episodes. We learned last November that Netflix would pick up a 10-episode reunion miniseries, leading up to the production of a feature film.
Today at a panel at the 2012 NAB Show, a digital broadcasting conference, Netflix and the show’s creator confirmed further details about the new series and brought some of the cast together in a reunion.
The episodes in the series will stream on Netflix early in 2013, and each episode will focus on one of the characters from the show. The show’s creator, Mitch Hurtwitz, decided on this format because many of the cast are busy with their own projects, and wrangling them together would be difficult.
It’s likely that the shows will become available all at once rather than trickling out a week at a time, but nothing’s set in stone.
Here are the pictures of the reunion. Not all cast members are in attendance, but just about everyone will be back for the streaming fourth season — just not all at once!
