Friends at last? Here’s a photo of the Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger — action-hero star of the 1980s cult Sci-Fi classic Predator — shaking hands with his former cinematic nemesis, the namesake of the film.

This image popped up on social sharing site Reddit yesterday without any context at all, but a little internet digging reveals that the photo was taken at the Arnold Fitness Expo.
The picture went viral when it was shared by the Stan Winston School of Character Arts. Winston designed the Predator along with other 80s Sci-Fi creatures like the alien queen from James Cameron’s Aliens, the dinosaurs in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park, and The Terminator himself.
Winston died in 2008, but his legacy now includes not only some of Hollywood’s greatest fantasies but intergalactic peace. One Reddit commenter noted that it’s good that Arnold is no longer the governor of California — otherwise he might be accused of going easy on illegal aliens. That’s the internet for you!
