The venerable The Elder Scrolls series of RPG video games has a lot coming around the corner. First we learned that The Elder Scrolls Online is coming in 2013 (and saw a trailer for it), and now we have details and a trailer for the first downloadable add-on content for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: Dawnguard.
The almost-2-minute trailer hit YouTube and Twitter this morning, and it’s filled to the brim with crazy additions to last year’s game. It looks like this DLC (downloadable content) is about a war between vampires and vampire hunters, and you’ll be able to take sides. There are flying, demon-like vampire enemies, powerful spells, and dragons diving through the ice underwater.
Game-makers Bethesda Studios say this expansion is coming to Microsoft’s online game marketplace Xbox Live this summer for 1,600 MS points (that’s $20). It will arrive for the PlayStation 3 and Windows PC versions of the game a few months later.
