Spotify released its Version 0.8.3 for Windows and Mac computers. The update includes several small tweaks aimed at making the program more tightly integrated with other social networks and improving its customization.
As previously announced, you can now make a Pandora-like radio station on Spotify based on a playlist or album. It’s a new way to explore new tunes tailored to your exact favorite genres, even when that includes opposites from the musical spectrum. There’s also a new “Instant Search” with instantly rendered results in the main screen when you hover over a search suggestion.
The more obvious upgrades are in social sharing. Now you can right-click on any track, artist, or album, to obtain the code for embedding a play button on a blog or website. Twitter users will soon start seeing the new abbreviated URL spoti.fi and bloggers on Tumblr are now able to directly share Spotify content on their pages.
Spotify said the rollout of the new version should be finished within a few days. If you want the latest right away, though, head over to the company’s website for an immediate download.
