Soon you’ll be able to download two of the PlayStation 3′s most acclaimed and popular games, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on the PlayStation Network (PSN) — no physical media required.
Both games have previously only been available as Blu-ray discs you buy at the store, but they’ll be downloadable to the PS3 on June 26. Note that this doesn’t include last year’s addition to the series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Oh, and Sony hasn’t said anything about pricing yet.
Don’t fret, though; there are money savings to be had. Until the full games hit the digital storefront in a month, all downloadable content (like multiplayer map packs) for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be free on the PlayStation Store. They’ll be included in the “Game of the Year Edition” digital download of Uncharted 2, and they’ll go back to full-price for retail buyers once the digital edition goes online.
Sony hasn’t updated its store with direct links for these new games yet, but we’ll make sure and update as soon as we have something to link to.
