After eight years telling the story of brilliant but troubled diagnostician Dr. Gregory House and leading in the ratings, Fox’s TV series House concluded with the series finale episode “Everybody Dies” last night. You can watch the episode online today on Hulu, iTunes, or Amazon.
The finale is directed by series creator David Shore, and it’s about House looking back on the mistakes he’s made in his live while treating a patient who’s addicted to drugs. Obviously, House (who from the beginning of the series suffered from chronic leg pain) has had his own struggles with vicodin and other drugs over the years.
Bizarrely, there is an 8-day delay on episodes streaming at the Fox website, but the episode is already available as a stream on Hulu and a download on iTunes or Amazon Instant Video. That means you can watch the episode somewhere else before you get a chance to view on Fox’s own property; it seems like the network’s digital strategy may be shooting itself in the foot there.
Regardless, here are the download and streaming links. You can also watch it right here on The Interactive. Let us know what you think; is the series a satisfying conclusion to Gregory House’s emotional journey?
