LEGOs are cultural icons at this point, especially with the creative internet crowd. They’ve been used to create video games, astounding feats of musical Star Wars geekitude, and they may or may not have inspired Minecraft. Now they’ve the basis for an impressive school project that reinvents Christopher Nolan’s Inception as something funnier than the original.
The 2-minute viral video is embedded below. It appeared on Vimeo last week, and it’s been making the rounds on the web slowly but surely. It’s a 3D rendering, not real LEGOs, but look at it like those LEGO Star Wars or LEGO Harry Potter video games — an animated, crack-up take on something a little more serious.
The video’s description says it was an academic project that took 12 weeks and 1,000 man hours. There are more detailed credits at the end of the clip. We hope you get a kick out of it!
