Sigur Ros drops second music video of Valtari Mystery Film Experiment

Sigur Ros has released two music videos for an intriguing project tied to its new release, Valtari. The band commissioned 12 filmmakers to make music videos for each of the eight tracks on the album. The only missive for the artists: to create a video of whatever the songs inspired in their minds.

The first music video, for “Eg anda,” debuted before the album’s official release. The song inspired Ragnar Kjartansson to create a step-by-step explanation of how to save a person from choking. The second video for “Varúð” went live today. It was created by Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir, who also masterminded the cover art for Valtari.

The rest of the music videos for the Valtari Mystery Film Experiment should drop over the next few months. In the meantime, take a look at both available music videos here, and speculate about what other inspired madness the filmmakers will create for this abstract soundtrack.
