It’s not often that gamers get this much downloadable content for their favorite games in a single day. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim‘s Dawnguard expansion, Battlefield 3‘s Close Quarters multiplayer map pack, and Mass Effect 3‘s revamped, expanded Extended Cut endings all became available for download this morning.
Your mileage may vary by platform, though. Dawnguard hit today, but it’s Xbox Live-exclusive for one month. PlayStation 3 and PC players will have to wait. It’s a similar situation with the Mass Effect 3 ending DLC, which hits Xbox Live and PCs today but won’t reach PlayStation Network players until July 4.
Close Quarters is now downloadable on all platforms, but Battlefield 3 Premium members have had access to it on all platforms for a little while and PlayStation 3 players got it in June 19th. Non-Premium Xbox 360 and PC players get it today.
Whether you’re interested in downloading these things depends on whether you were into these games to begin with. Those who are interested: You know who you are. Go grab the stuff. Dawnguard costs $20, Close Quarters costs $15, and the Mass Effect 3 ending is free.
