
You were probably expecting this, but now it’s been confirmed: The Nintendo Wii U will stream videos from Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Instant Video just like the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 do.
Specifics haven’t been revealed, but here’s hoping that all three video services will be supported by some of the Wii U’s Miiverse social features that we reported on Sunday night. It would be neat to leave comments on particular videos or share your viewing activity in status updates.
As with the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, you’ll need to actually pay separately for the subscription fees for Hulu Plus, Netflix, or Amazon Prime to access the content that’s part of those packages.
