The fifth album from hot hip hop MC Rick Ross was originally slated to drop in December, but it was delayed. Now the long wait is over: God Forgives, I Don’t hit store shelves digital and otherwise today, and you can find it on major streaming services, too.
The 15-track album is available through iTunes, Amazon MP3, Google Play, Spotify, Rdio, AllMusic, and other music services. As you’ll see if you take a gander at Metacritic, the critics have been pretty positive about this one. It’s sitting pretty at an 81.
If you’re not savvy on Rick Ross’s career, suffice it to say he’s had a rough year. In addition to a plethora of legal issues — including an ex-drug mogul suing him over his name — and suffered from multiple seizures, threatening his life. You can hear some of the fallout from that in some of these tracks.
The album also features cameos from Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Drake, Usher, Ne-Yo, Andre 3000, Meek Mill, Elijah Blake, Omarion, Wale, and Stalley. That’s a wide range of appearances, from megastars to deeper cuts. Hip hop fans will want to give this one a listen.
