Green Day has a new album out — the first in a trilogy of albums, in fact. ¡Uno! will presumably be followed by ¡Dos! and ¡Tres! — both relatively quickly. It’s a big influx of new music from a band that’s been silent for a while, and you can listen to the first chapter online by downloading it or streaming it from various legit sources.
The gamut consists of the usual sources — Spotify, iTunes, Rdio, and Amazon MP3. The links are all below, and of course we have it embedded here courtesy of Spotify. Give it a listen and you’ll notice that it’s a chipper, poppy album. That has drawn some ire from some critics, who have called the album overproduced and unadventurous.
Green Day is a venerable band, though, and though ¡Uno! is probably not the band’s best record ever, there’s a lot to love. That’s especially true if you were a fan of Dookie, which had a similar vibe.
Even though ¡Uno! just hit the digital streets, the band is already teasing the follow up. A new track from ¡Dos! called “Lazy Bones” premiered in the mobile phone game Angry Birds of all bizarre places. You can of course just download Angry Birds, but if you just want the music then head over to Green Day Authority to download the track, which is a little sparser than anything on ¡Uno!.
