About

The Interactive publishes news and feature articles about digital entertainment like TV, film, video games, books, and viral memes for an audience that cares about easy access to media whenever and wherever they want it.

The internet is full of entertaining media and art just waiting to be discovered and discussed, and nearly all media will be digital in the near future. We know that many folks are already living like it is, so our content focuses on media that’s available to stream or download online — whether it’s enjoyed on the living room TV, a computer, a tablet, or a smartphone.

Examples include streaming TV on network websites or apps (or on Hulu) or movies on Netflix, downloadable games on Xbox Live or a smartphone app store, and ebooks on a Nook, an iPad, or a Kindle.

It’s our mission to help you find great stuff to enjoy without venturing to the store to buy a physical disc. We’re also committed to helping everyone make sense of the complex digital content and tech industries, and the struggles consumers and media companies face in this transition to a new era of social and digital entertainment.

How to find stuff

The Interactive is divided into five sections — Watch, Play, Listen, Read, and Buzz. You can guess what you’ll find in each section.

We also curate a handy database of popular and trending TV shows, films, games, books, and the like. Just visit one of these pages — Mad Men, for example — to find a description and all the most recent news, articles, and media about it, along with links to the (completely legit) places you can stream or download it online.

You’ll find the latest articles regardless of category in the right sidebar, and the front page is a great place to start if you want to explore recent articles and trending entertainment in any medium.

We also maintain an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and Tumblr. Connect with us there to keep up to date with what’s happening in online entertainment.
